Next Tuesday 19th November is Womens’ Entrepreneurship Day and Fishburners and Hstl&Hrt are throwing a special event to celebrate.

The theme? What’s the Future for Women in Business?

It’s going to be incredible, because we have a stellar lineup.

KEYNOTE

We’re thrilled to share that iconic entrepreneur, Kristina Karlsson: Founder & Creative Director of global Swedish design and stationery business, kikki.K will be delivering a keynote at the event.

With 102 kikki.K stores, stocked in another 250, and sold online to stationery and design lovers in over 147 countries worldwide, Kristina really does have incredible experience and a whole host of lessons to share. We can’t wait to hear her keynote and we’re sure you can’t either.

ROUND TABLE

We know the past and present for women in business so far:

  • Only 2.2% of women receive global VC funds 
  • The national gender pay gap is 14.1% in Australia right now
  • Almost half-of female founders (48 percent) cite a lack of available mentors or advisers as holding them back
  • 17.1% of CEOs or heads of business are women and at the current rate of process, we won’t see parity at this level until the year 2100
  • 30.5% of key management personnel positions are held by women
  • Women founded companies in First Round Capital’s portfolio outperformed companies founded by men by 63%.
  • 35.2% of boards have no female directors
  • 72.2% of paid parental leave is utilised by women while men comprise the remaining 27.8%

And we KNOW that more can be done. That’s why we’re talking about the future for women in business with our world-class roundtable of experts, investors, female founders.

Your ticket covers food and drinks, as well as a portion going towards girls’ education charities.
