2021 TICT Weindorfer Luncheon

Event description

Tourism Operators and Friends of Tourism are invited to join TICT in honoring the pioneers and champions of our industry.

While all TICTs other events and activities are very much about looking ahead to the future of our tourism industry and visitor economy, the biennial 'Weindorfer Luncheon' is one opportunity to pause, look back, and reflect on how far Tasmania has come as a visitor destination.

We have a remarkable history as an industry, built on the back of entrepreneurs and pioneers with the vision, courage and tenacity to create exceptional place-based tourism. The Weindorfer Luncheon is a chance to pay tribute to these Tasmanians, share stories and catch-up, and consider what we can learn from our past, in shaping our tourism future.

This year's event will be addressed by Dr James Cretan, the outgoing chair of Tourism Tasmania - reflecting on his time in the role and his thoughts on some of the challenges and opportunities we now face as a destination.

This informal and relaxed event under the Marquee at Coal River Farm, will bring together many of Tasmania's Tourism Champions - past recipients of the Tasmanian Tourism Award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual.

Expect a two-course luncheon of fine Tasmanian hospitality (lots of outstanding cheese, of course), good conversation and great tourism company!
