This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

In light of this year’s unprecedented bushfire season, a focus on solutions to the climate crisis is more important than ever. The film 2040 offers a host of sustainable solutions to the environmental issues we face today.

On Saturday the 29th of February 2020, there will be an outdoor, moonlight screening of 2040 in the beautiful Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve. The one and only Damon Gameau, director of 2040 (and "That Sugar Film"), will be in attendance. He will be answering questions about the film and giving an insight into his philosophy and vision for the future.

This sustainable screening will be entirely human powered, with four bikes generating the electricity for the entire film. Come and enjoy the atmosphere and the trees, and leave with a healthy sense of optimism for the future.

Bring a picnic rug, beanbag, banana lounge or whatever seating takes your fancy! Drinks will be available for purchase. In the interest of keeping waste as low as possible, please BYO food and cups, and take all rubbish with you.

*No alcohol will be permitted to be brought into the screening. Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar*
