Artist's Way

Event description

We are all creative beings, whether we consider ourselves to be ‘artistic’ or not.  Creativity comes in many forms, and it reminds us of the importance to play and to access our inner child.  If you’d like to reawaken or get in touch with your creative self, The Artists Way is a group for you.  Whether you write, paint, cook, sew, craft, build, make, draw, dance, sing, act, design (or anything else!) or you’d like to but lack the confidence to get started, this group may help.  You’re never too old or too inexperienced, just get started. The group follows the book The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron (you will need to purchase the book prior to attending) and covers the 12 topics over 12 weeks.  The group requires a firm commitment to growing and nurturing your creative side, and you’ll be required to read each chapter before each week.  It’s a very hands-on group with weekly homework then discussion in the ‘creative cluster’ group.

Facilitated by Melanie, former therapist who is on her own creative journey.
