We're very excited to announce our final AirTime Event for 2018 on 28th November: Pragmatic Applications of Data Science with Liz Crawford.

Liz recently returned to Australia after 5 years as CTO of Birchbox, a cosmetics discovery platform backed by the likes of First Round, Accel and Lerer Hippeau, where she built the Engineering, Product and Data Science functions from scratch (the Product team grew from 0 to 60 people). Liz also scaled the product from supporting 1,000s of subscribers to 1 million+ over 6 countries, and built a Data Science function that optimised the customer experience by building personalisation and optimisation algorithms that determined what each person saw on-site and received in their subscription box (adding millions+ in revenue).

After Birchbox, Liz was an EIR at Genacast Ventures in New York. She also has a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and has 20+ academic journal and conference publications on topics ranging from Machine Learning and NLP, to Intelligent Tutoring Systems and Robotics.
