Event description

WHAT DO 8 CHEFS, 1 ARTIST, 39 WINERIES AND 3 DISTILLERIES HAVE IN COMMON? ONE SHOWPIECE EVENT AND AN INVITATION FOR YOU.

In a landmark event, Chefs of Barossa’s renowned eateries will join forces with wineries and distillers to present a single dining experience, “Barossa, Our Story”.  Driven by a 50+ strong collaborative force, the dinner is set to be a sumptuous look into the diversity, talent and generosity of Barossa’s contemporary culinary story.

Over five courses the team will explore the very DNA that gives Barossa its stellar reputation for wine and food globally:

Small bites and sticky fingers, super tasty, contemporary restaurant snacks. Gin cocktails, sparkling and rosé

Fermented, cured and raw #1, Barossa food personified by a “sauer” specialist with a twist from an Italian raised on produce straight from “il contadino’ (the farmer). Aromatic and refreshing whites

From the earth, all about the season’s bounty, sustainability and a lighter footprint. Lighter shades of red wine

From frugality to multi-culturalism, celebrating our food journey from settlement to today, solid plant-based food with sides of carnivorous treats. Chartered Tour de Force, heroes of the Barossa Old Vine Charter

Fermented, cured & raw #2, inspired by the Barossa Farmers’ Market. Wines of rich and lingering style

Each of the long tables will be presented with individual wine lists, featuring the likes of Hentley Farm, Penfolds, Two Hands Wines, Cirillo Estate Wines, Purple Hands, Whistler, Yalumba, Turkey Flat Vineyards and more.

A gin bar with locals Barossa Distilling Company, Seppeltsfield Road Distillers and Durand Distillery and wine tasting lounge will beckon as the night progresses.

Barossa invites you to find your place in our story, Thursday 5 March 2020 and beyond.
