Beer Terroir: More than a bad habit_at (EVENT CANCELLED)

Beer style, quality and flavour was once dependent on the local environs. We believe it was a dis-indigenous decision to exhaustively control and mute the true flavours of beer. So, we invite you to an evening that showcases beer as it used to be, as it should be, and as it has become, again.

With both local and international superstars; from Wildflower (New South Wales), Chur (New Zealand), Pohjala (Estonia), Outsider Brewing (Japan), The Garden (Croatia) and our own collaboration with City Winery (Newstead), you will be exposed to a range of styles and ingredients native to their country of creation.

Think wild yeast strains, native tree sap, organic grape skin infusions, smoked mushrooms, sweaty brewers armpits, and many more such delicious flavour sources. Our kitchen will be creating a menu utilising Indigenous flavours, which compliment the tap-list, and our resident boffins will be laying down the tech talk about Newstead’s adventures in the fields of local yeast cultivation.
