To do a thorough literature search on your topic, you need to develop a great search strategy. Learn how a systematic search strategy can help you more efficiently find resources on your topic. 

What will you learn? 

This hands-on workshop will show you how to: 

  • Be methodical, organised and systematic in your literature searching, 
  • Break down your research topic into key concepts, 
  • Turn your key concepts into search terms and alternative terms (synonyms) 
  • Develop your search strategy using Boolean operators, 
  • Use key databases to locate journal articles on your topic, 
  • Modify your search strategy when things don’t go according to plan, 
  • Save your searches, 
  • Locate highly cited articles in your research area, 
  • Request resources using InterLibrary Loans.
