The Chewton Hemp House was a work of love for the owners and their three small sons, friends and other volunteers who built the hempcrete walls over nine months in 2018. It also involved a design-build collaboration with architect Simon Disler and Raphael Reed of House Workshop, with Mark Anstey designing and building the kids’ bedroom and kitchen cabinetry.
Tickets are free to visit Chewton Hemp House, however we would request a donation of $5 per adult to go to our local Orfund charity. Please bring cash on the day. For carless visitors we will waive the donation amount.
