Event description

Volunteer Management Workshop - Courageous Conversations and Managing Change

Change is constant and continuously impacting the way we work and the way we manage volunteers. Sometimes change means we need to have conversations that make us uncomfortable. Katy will take you through an interactive workshop designed to help you identify and manage change and support your volunteers through change. She will give you tools to prepare for and have courageous conversations that get the best outcome for you, the volunteer, and the organisation.

The workshop will be broken into two modules:

  • Change: managing change; the role of volunteer managers in change, what causes change; why people resist change (in the face of fear).
  • Difficult/Courageous conversations: Why we have hard conversations; How to have those hard conversations; How to prepare for conversation around change – GROW Model; Having the conversation – role plays around feedback/conversation
