Event description

Week 4 [April 26] ------------------

The last week is here! We're back to the rooftop garden for a final night of fun featuring the delicious Motherfunk and Kyoshi, with half-time poetry by Melanie Ree.

Motherfunk-------------

Sydney hip-hop/funk/jazz/neo-soul fusion six-piece powerhouse Motherfunk are a force to be reckoned with, and their live shows prove it.Last year Motherfunk toured their EP 'Breakfast' and single '1800MOTHERFUNK' in Feb & August respectively. Both tours had several sold out shows with massive shows in other cities like Melbourne & Brisbane. Motherfunk have shared the stage with artists such as The Kava Kings, Thunder Fox, Gold Member & so many more as well as performing at festivals such as Secret Garden, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks, Newtown Festival, Paisley Days and more. You can find all of Motherfunk's socials below. www.spretbotsyndicate.com

KYOSHI -------------------

Sporting a combination of future soul, rnb and progressive hip hop, Sydney 4-piece Kyoshi have earned a reputation as a tight, professional act whose live show is unmissable. Kyoshi have been gigging most weeks of the year since mid 2017 and have taken their sound on domestic tours playing to festivals and crowds in Newcastle, Melbourne, Singleton as well as in and around Sydney gracing stages such as Brighton Up Bar, Lazybones, Oxford Art Factory, the Factory Theatre and many other great Sydney venues.Kyoshi connect to crowds through their love of rhythm and groove, making each concert a sonic experience. Taking inspiration from acts such as Erykah Badu, Moonchild, Hiatus Kaiyote and Thundercat, the band’s unique blend of psychedelic crossover jazz and hip hop set them aside from most bands on the scene.
