DIY Beeswax Wraps - Waste Smart Christmas

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Keep your waste to a minimum this Christmas by learning how to make your own beeswax wraps. They make great Christmas gifts and can also be used at your Christmas feasts. Join Sam and Sean from the Brisbane Tool Library and find out how you can reduce your plastic footprint with this reusable alternative to cling wrap.

During the workshop you will learn how to choose and prepare your fabric, prepare the beeswax recipe, apply it to your fabric and how to use and wash your beeswax food wraps.

The Brisbane Tool Library will provide all materials needed, but you are also welcome to bring your own repurposed fabric (more indications below).
