Kids Yoga & Mindfulness

Facilitators: Rachael Moore, Eve E White, Richard Peard, Liv Scully

In this activity we interweave story and play with yoga and mindfulness practices. Our qualified teachers offer various yoga styles suitable for children and adults of varying abilities with a highly interactive 30 minute class. Engaging all with song and also using principles of Chi Gong which is energy conservation. Yoga mats provided.

Elemental Dance

Facilitators: Rachael Moore, Eve E White, Liv Scully

This is a fun journey of movement and expression for all ages and abilities. Join us in the Dome as we play with the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Space. Each element has a certain quality that will guide our dancing and rhythms: From Earth we dance with strength, from Water we flow, from Fire we shake and transform, Air we move and Space we become still.

Indigenous Arts

Facilitators: Eve E White, Jacqstar Davies

Join our guest hosts for a 30 minute exploration into the art and culture of Aboriginal Australia. Eve will host our first week of Indigenous Art, she is a Proud Wiradjuri woman who teaches yoga and aboriginal culture in schools and studios around NSW also accredited by NESA with Wandana education and events.

Beginning our experience with a traditional smoking ceremony known as a Warra Wayjul, creating an intention to heal and cleanse the area and ourselves.

We will then playfully explore Aboriginal history and culture with dreaming stories through, movement art, and symbols. Everyone will receive a Journey Stone to decorate with their own unique intention and energy to keep and use later.

Finishing our experience with a guided Dadirri - a form of Indigenous meditation known as deep listening or deep contemplation.

Indigenous Art -  ‘Cooinda’ means happy place for children to learn about traditional aboriginal art and culture in a sacred space. We will be intentionally creating an art piece which is a journey stone where we will infuse our energy into the stone.  Their will be a short meditation where we connect and share together in this spiritual sacred art.

Magic Music

Facilitators: Saul / Soul Drummer, Josh Oshlack from Rhythm Village & ASL Volunteers

Bringing African Culture and music through a full interactive experience that’s fun and educational featuring african drums and songs. Suitable for all ages. Creating happy, connecting rhythms whilst building team spirit and confidence, these drumming workshops are dedicated to using music to unearth a person’s creativity and hidden potential.

In our ASL Magic Music workshops we will create a symphony together, led by trained music facilitators involving our rainbow coloured Boomwhackers, the most fun you can have creating music and rhythms, these instruments are highly engaging and therapeutic.

Crafternoon

Facilitators: Rachael Moore, Liv Scully, Jacqstar Davies

Crafternoon in the dome will be a fun and immersive activity for everyone to get creative with a variety of crafts, ranging from mandala colouring to making decorative head - pieces to tiny pet stick animals, each Crafternoon will work with natural, recycled and found materials, offering slightly different activities to engage the creative mind and create beautiful items to take home.
