Event description

EVENT RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 21 DUE TO COVID BRISBANE LOCKDOWN

Join us as we round out B Corp month in style. What better way than with an impactful event where we explore the SDGs with Mission Oriented Innovation - Guided by the legends from The Yunus Centre, Griffith University.

The purpose of this event is to get you talking, to help you get to know the other awesome people in the community, and go beyond connection to collaboration.

Our events are a-buzz with just the right kind of vibe. We are a high-frequency community of amazing, conscious people who are working to make the world the better place we want it to be. Sparks happen when we gather, so we got to thinking – this time, what might happen if we’re even more intentional about the impact we have the potential to make, as a group, for our part of the world? If you are picking up what we are putting down, then you gotta come!

Are you planning to attend?

GoodGatherings are for all Good Humans, independent of what you do for work. We are about what you intend!

It is a GoodGathering. Not a networking event. We pose a different question. Not “What do you do?” rather “What are you passionate about?” Or “What lights you up?”

It’s the way we see what is in each other's heart, our purpose.

It is proudly brought to you by the Good Business Community that is GoodNorth and The Yunus Centre

This is how it will go

To help get us started, everyone writes their passion, what lights them up, on their nametag. So think about what it is you're passionate about beforehand. And at the event, see how many people you can meet with an aligned purpose.

Mission Oriented Innovation

Once we’re all settled, the legends from The Yunus Centre will guide this experience to get the goodness flowing, bonds forming and ideas popping.

You will choose an SDG that interests you, particularly in relation to SE QLD / Northern NSW.  And with a small group of other awesome folk you will be guided through a mission-led innovation framework that will help you identify experiments to contribute to achieving your overall mission, taking into account the complexity of the systems we work within. A handy skill, yes?!

Together we will explore new ideas and dream up experiments that could potentially work towards addressing some of the SDGs in our local communities.

There is no obligation to take these ideas forward. At the least you will have learned a new skill and connected deeply with purposeful people – and if you do get inspired to move on an experiment with some of your GoodNorth friends, well the sky is the limit!

Included in your ticket are drinks (Beer, Wine, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages), food and the GoodGathering experience.

Much love to those who support the cause!

Big thank you to all our sponsors who have given generously so we can keep the ticket cost so low. Make sure to show them some love!
