Event description

Becoming a leading public university of technology is one of the ambitious goals of the UTS 2027 Strategic Plan. As such, it is our responsibility to offer solutions for technological and social challenges - of today and the future. To achieve this, we need to create more opportunities for HASS and STEMM collaboration, so they can jointly address these problems and deliver excellence with real impact. But how well is UTS doing this right now? What needs to change to do it even better in the future?

Join Professor Mary O’Kane AO, former NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer, and Professor John Sutton, Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science, to hear their perspectives on the challenges and benefits of bringing HASS and STEMM together. They will be joined by a panel of leading UTS researchers for a lively discussion on the current state of HASS/STEMM integration at UTS and what it may look like in 2027.

Drinks and nibbles will be served
