Event description

Hex Yellow would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation on which we will meet. We pay respects to the Elders of the community and extend our recognition to their descendants.

This is a queer-friendly and safe event.

Hex Yellow resurfaces from the depths for its fourth instalment of mind-melting dance revelry. The fountains are flowing and the night's ghouls beat the heavy drums of other-worldly intoxications.

With a superb offering of live electronics, horror-club, rave and gabber let this edition of Hex Yellow again embrace you in its many loving arms.

Drvg Cvltvre
----
Holland’s very own master of the underground, Drvg Cvltvre’s pervasive DIY sound is a regular fixture in the sets of DJs both local and afar. They blends elements of acid-house, techno, new wave and everything in-between to create dystopic dance floor music with heavy melodies and anarchic acid bass lines, citing artists such as Suicide, Sun Ra and Terrence Dixon as influences on their produce. With their own label New York Haunted, and releases on labels such as Shipwrec, Porn Wax and Rave or Die, the inaugural visit of Drvg Cvltvre to Australian shores is a must see.

Lucy Cliché (Live)
----
Sydney’s infamous analog hellruna, Lucy Cliché has carved deep into the bedrock of Sydney's electronic music scene. Their left-leaning live sets spare no predispositions, making you sweat, making you move. With a fresh release on Fleisch (GER) and a recent live performance scoring Christensen's legendary 'Haxan', Cliché will have you bewitched in the apropos monolithic venue for the night.

ZEFGIRLCLUB
----
Since graduating from FBi Radio's danceclass ZEFGIRLCLUB has come to define an otherworldly and horrific version of contemporary 'club music' drawing on elements of trap, grime, techno and experimental electronics. Their sets and personal releases feature disturbing vocal samples and chaotic industrial noise and their warehouse debut will be a curse well worth the wait.

Scarpin (Live)
----
The breakthrough release of Scarpin's 'Habitual' on GRUPO Records brings to mind the ominous textures of Kandingray and the melancholy of Lynch's distorted suburbias. The familiarity of the artist's cathartic yet driving sound is sinister, reflecting a aggrieved passion for the core of connectiveness, or rather it's loss in a delocalised world. Performed live at Hex Yellow 004 by Michael Scarpin and two supporting artists.

Tim Gollan (Gabber Mix)

----

Local favourite Timothy James will be taking the reigns and leading the party off the cliffs and back into the sea at everything >150bpm. Expect fast-paced industrial bamboozlement, rave and chemical-spill inspired idm. Don't forget your scuba.

Loveless

----

A DJ imbued with the dystopic vision of industrial art. Their flawless and powerful track selection hark to empires long ago collapsed into dust, empowering a certain lucidity in their audiences. Expect the best in EBM and clanging gothic tunes.
