Join us for a hands-on honey making workshop with the founder of Maya Sunny Honey, Andrew, as he shares his knowledge about Bees, the importance of Bees and their Hives. 

During the 45 minute workshop, Andrew will share his passion and inspiration for bees that started at a very young age in the country-side of Poland, where he learned to help his parents on the apiarist farm.

In this class you will learn:

  • The role the queen bee, drones and worker bees play in the hive
  • The importance of bees and observe them through an observational hive 
  • How to extract honeycomb from the frame to make honey

You will take home:

  • A jar of your collected honey from the workshop
  • A Maya Sunny Honey show bag

    Please note

    • There is no experience necessary!
    • There is a limited quantity of tickets for each class. If you cannot make the event please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice as refunds and rescheduling will not be available after that time
    • Classes start at 9:00am, 10:30am, 11:45am - please specify your time when purchasing tickets.
    • Classes run for approximately 45 minutes.
    • Suitable for children between 6 to 13 years old - parents are welcome to stay with their children and help them if they’re young or sip a coffee while watching. You are the best judge to decide if this activity is appropriate for your child.
    • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class and check in with our team in the Patio, located next to the children's play area and farm animals. Be aware that the traffic and available car park in the area can be challenging, click here for more information.
    • Classes will be held in The Patio, next to our farm animals and children's play area.
    • This is not a drop off service. All parents are required to stay within The Grounds of Alexandria at all times while their child is in the class.
