How to Grow Food on a Budget
Event description
Growing you own food at home is a great way to save money once you know the tricks to home-growing on a budget. So if you have the time but not the money, this FREE workshop at the Thurgoona Community Centre is for you.
Topics include how to turn lawn into garden beds, make your own soil, how to get plants and seeds for free and turn stuff around the house into tools and pots. Participants can also enter a scholarship competition to win free use of a wicking garden bed at home, free seeds, plants and tools and free food growing workshops, all thanks to our volunteers and generous local supporters.
When: August 13th, 10am to 12 noon.
Where: Thurgoona Community Centre meeting room.
How much: It is all free thanks to passionate local volunteers and sponsors.
