Ikebana: Floristry as Meditation

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Ikebana is the centuries old Japanese art of beautifully and mindfully arranging cut stems, leaves, and flowers in vases or vessels. Ikebana is about the process, as well as the result, and it takes place in an atmosphere of calm and joy, fostering peace of mind through simple but expressive floral art.

In this workshop, the wonderful Renay will take you through the history of Ikebana, demonstrating different techniques and guiding you through your own mindful practice, creating both outer beauty and inner calm.

The workshop includes your own ceramic bowl to keep, oasis sponge and all blooms and blossoms including locally sourced seasonal branches and leaves. You can also bring branches or blossoms from your own garden to incorporate into your unique piece of floral art.

Come join us for a morning of beauty, calm and connection.
