Greens Senator Dr Mehreen Faruqi is delighted to be hosting her sixth annual International Women's Day Breakfast on Friday 6 March 2020. This series has become renowned for an honest and radical discussion about gender and race. The breakfast privileges the voices of women of colour. 

Past speakers have included Nakkiah Lui, Roanna Gonsalves, Randa Abdel-Fattah, and Nayuka Gorrie.

This year we will be joined by lawyer and social justice campaigner Diana Sayed, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights. Other special guests to be announced shortly. 

Booking
This event has sold out each year so we strongly encourage you to book early.

Please note: This is an autonomous event for all people who identify as women. Please respect this. Only book if you meet this criteria.

Dietary requirements
The breakfast will include pastries and a hot vegetarian breakfast (including eggs and dairy) with hot and cold beverages. For dietary requirements please email no later than Friday 28 February: senator.faruqi@aph.gov.au The caterers will not be able to accommodate dietary requests after this date.

Seating
Seating will be allocated on tables of ten, so please email no later than Friday 28 February if you have a request to sit with another person or group: senator.faruqi@aph.gov.au Requests made after this date may not be able to be accommodated. 

Getting there
Breakfast is in the Tea Room of the Queen Victoria Building. Please arrive 7.15am for a 7.30am start. The Tea Room is on level three at the Northern end of the QVB. Lifts are available straight to level three from outside Koko Black on the Ground Floor.
