Event description

Please join us for an evening of heart warming kirtan & sound healing at Bija Yoga, Hobart, led by Geeti & Gyanananda (Jon Parry).

This will be a great opportunity for the community to come together, sing & connect on a soul level through this ancient heart & sound based yogic practice of kirtan. The evening will conclude with a nourishing & integrating sound bath.

Gyanananda (Jon Parry), previously residing in north Tasmania, now based in Sydney, returns to Bija for a third time to offer this wonderful practice to the community. He is joined this time by Geeti, a fellow kirtanist, yogini and sound healer from Sydney.

Geeti & Gyanananda love sharing music & mantra to help open people’s hearts. They bring a joyful, uplifting, devotional & meditative quality to kirtan.

Kirtan is a very accessible call & response group practice, combining potent Sanskrit vibrational sounds called mantra with melody & rhythm to help bring us into a relaxed, balanced & expansive state of being.

Kirtan can elevate our thoughts & emotions, boost our energy & expand our awareness. It can be practised by everyone, regardless of age or experience.

No musical experience is required, just a heart willing to sing, share and receive.

We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of co-creative celebration!

Children are very welcome.
