Learn the basics of Python with Civita
Event description
In the context of its #HacktforEducation event on the 6th of July, Civita organises a free class to teach you the basics of Python and Jupyter Notebook.
You always wanted to use Python for analysis?
You are a master of Excel but you are curious about a new way to explore data?
You have never done data analysis and you are really keen to start learning?
Novice, Beginner, Experts, Bring your computer and start exploring data with Python!
Because this class aims to prepare you for our data hackathon about Education, we will explore a few open datasets about the topic. You will learn how to upload your data and explore it. Our goal is to give you all the confidence you need to keep exploring this tool on your own and come to our data hackathons when you are ready.
Class will start at 6.20pm and end at 7.45pm. You will have time to ask specific questions after the course.
What do I need to prepare?
Bring your laptop and install Anaconda (https://www.anaconda.com/distribution/). We won't spend time install it during the class, so please come prepared.
Once you are registered, we will send you a link to join our Slack and help you if you have any questions regarding the event or the installation of Anaconda.
