ARTISTS & TIMES
JEFF LANG (7-8pm) Australian guitarist-songwriter-vocalist-producer, Jeff Lang has built a reputation for making startling music that is accomplished, intricate, gutsy, melodic and loaded with soul. Often taking unexpected turns, he has consistently inspired his audiences by creating a stylistically diverse catalog of over 25 albums.
High-energy duo HAT FITZ & CARA (2.30-3.30pm) are among Australia’s most talented roots music artists. Combining their cultural backgrounds (AUS/IRE), this dynamic power force showcases Fitzy’s weathered vocals and soaring blues-soaked guitar with Cara’s pounding drums and soulful voice to create, what they call, Convict Blues – presenting them at the peak of their creative power.
BLUES ARCADIA (8.30-9.30pm) deliver an uninhibited old-fashioned soul stomp revival, combining the legendary soul of Stax and Motown with the heat and power of the Chicago and Memphis blues.
These are five strong individual personalities working together to create something uniquely exciting, where each player directs their energy into the most important thing – the Song, making it the best it can be. That is the power of Blues Arcadia.
BEN SALTER(5.30-6.30) is one of Australia’s most highly regarded performers and songwriters. As well as being a founding member of Giants of Science, The Gin Club and the three-time ARIA-nominated Wilson Pickers, he is an accomplished artist in his own right. Salter continues to perform relentlessly across Australia and the world, both solo and with his band
ASH BELL & SARA TINDLEY(1-2pm) The singular voices of Ash (Starboard Cannons) and Sara combine for a very special release “Going Out Clothes”. This collaboration seamlessly melds Ashs’ folk/celtic balladry with Sara's folk/country rhythms to form a timeless folk/roots mini–masterpiece of tough love and deep humanity
CASS EAGER (4-5pm) Named by folk -blog Timber and Steel as Janis Joplin and Ben Harper's love child, her mix of raw soul , husky blues and light hearted ditties are all punctuated with her unique whisky-soaked vocals. Emotive, slightly raspy, at times tender and at times powerful, Cass' authentic voice is always the driving force of her music
