Bands. DJs. Sound system. Marrickville Location.

The rumours are true: with two digital releases and a video clip out already, Matt Sitas is appearing for his debut show with a full band. With a diverse support lineup from Indira Elias, Lee Sullivan, Rees Lucia, and Willy Challis The Dirt King, this is promising to be a night of unique music. Grab an early release ticket before they run out!

The concrete canyons that maze around Sydenham station yearn to feel amplified music. Sometimes it’s eastern suburbs hairdressers booting pills into their brains and checking out 18 hours of shit trance music. Sometimes it’s a grindcore bbq. Sometimes it’s a maverick guitar player with teeth he doesn’t mind shattering and a half hour of Zeppelin memorised…

This time it’s a faction of Sydney’s ever blooming songwriter scene. Some are newcomers, some well established. This is an eclectic mix of musicians yet they share the same ideals of sincerity and honest performance.

Matt Sitas
makes happy laptop rock. Matt’s rock arrangements put together optimistic figures, nudge/wink humour, and big feelings. Together these dimensions cry “90s/2000s indie rock is not dead!”

Indira Elias
bestows a unique sonic enchantment upon her always-awed crowds. Her unique songs are tender and real. You find that your mind has happily bowed in appreciation. Do not miss this phenomenal talent.

Lee Sullivan
is a top speed thoroughbred racehorse songwriter. His compositions cast long shadows across the leafy songwriter scene. Now, with a white-hot rhythm section behind for the first time him he is set to cast a mould yet unseen by human eyes. What strange shape will emerge? Find out for yourself.

Rees Lucia's debut release In/Congruence swoops between dark and light, moving through genres of melodic folk, dreamy pop and indie rock with hypnotic groove, poetic lyricism and textured harmonies. In/Congruence is inspired by small moments of revelation. It draws you into blissfully lush songs of nostalgia and happiness, to reveal the rawness of consciousness. Her floating vocals move you, and her moody guitar lines melt you into pools sound.

Willy Challis
, The Dirt King: Self anointed yet freely praised among the lucky circles who have seen him with big searching eyes sing, “The molly’s wearing off and this party sucks,”
