Experience the wonder of mathematics hidden in everyday patterns, shapes and structures. Fall in love with shapes and space.

Watch the beauty of mathematics unfold in everyday patterns, shapes and structures, and discover the potential of play for the development of mathematical skills. Discover mathematics in the everyday and explore your own relationship with maths.

This STEM learning opportunity will help you:

  • learn how to recognise opportunities for mathematical learning
  • discover the potential of play for the development of mathematical skills
  • immerse yourself in creative mathematical experiences
  • develop self-confidence in your abilities to engage children in mathematics
  • benefit from the exchange with like-minded educators and reflect on your current practice
  • feel confident in unlocking the wonders of STEM.

You will also receive comprehensive materials with lots of STEM ideas and information about inquiry-based practices.

Topic learning objectives

  • Strengthening educators’ self-confidence in mathematical education
  • Development of mathematical thinking in the early years
  • Implementation of mathematical experiences in early childhood education

Good to know: This workshop provides educators and teachers with a variety of tools and educational concepts to meet a range of requirements of the NQF and the EYLF.

Parking: Parking is available within the vicinity of the venue

Cost: $200 per participant. Ticket cost includes morning and afternoon tea. Please BYO lunch.

Who? This workshop is suitable for all educators and teachers and prior STEM knowledge is not required.
