Artificial intelligence. Ethics. Innovation. Three buzz words each and every one of us hear every day that are key to the cybersecurity sector. But where and how do these words meaningfully intersect and where does trust fit into that? Join the NSW Cyber Security Network/AustCyber Cyber Security Innovation Node and our presenter, Professor Chen of UTS for an insightful and interactive lunchtime workshop to learn more.

This workshop is designed to connect cybersecurity research expertise together with industry to develop commercial cybersecurity capability, and facilitate meaningful interactions between university researchers and the entrepreneurial community in NSW.

About the Speaker
Professor Chen is a thought leader in AI and data science. She has created many world-class AI innovations while working in Intel, Motorola, NICTA, CSIRO and now UTS, and helped governments and industries utilising data and significantly increasing productivity, safety and customer satisfaction. Through impactful successes, she gained many recognitions such as the ITS Australia National Award 2014, 2015 and 2018, and NSW iAwards 2017. She is the NSW “Water Professional of the Year” 2016, National and NSW “Research and Innovation Award” by Australian Water association. She received the "Brian Shackle Award" 2017 for “the most outstanding contribution with international impact in the field of human interaction with computers and information technology”. She is the winner of “Oscar Prize” in Australian science – Australian Museum Eureka Prize 2018 for Excellence in Data Science. Professor Chen has 280 publications and 30 patents in 8 countries. She is the Executive Director Data Science and Distinguished Professor at University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
