Event description

After co-founding two disruptive banks in the UK — Metro Bank, the UK’s first new bank in 150 years and Atom Bank, the UK’s first bank for mobile, Anthony Thomson is now bringing his experience to bear in the Australian market as Chairman of 86 400

Over the course of his career, Anthony has raised in excess of $1billion in capital and spoken at events in twenty different countries across five continents. The same two questions he is consistently asked include: “How do I start/grow my business?”, which is always followed by “how can I fund my idea?”.

Anthony has interviewed over 50 successful entrepreneurs as well as a number of key serial investors to find out what it takes to start and grow a business in today's economy.

Shedding light on a somewhat well-trodden path, Anthony will discuss what makes investors invest in some businesses and not others, what they are looking for in a pitch and easy mistakes founders make that can cause an investor walk away.

Join Anthony Thomson, one of the UK’s leading serial entrepreneurs and banking pioneers for a chat and discover what it takes to turn your business idea into a reality.
