Transition 3081 is running a series of 10 Sustainable Living Workshops in 2019 with support from a 2018 Banyule Envrionmental Sustainablity Grant.

Location : Commercial Kitchen in Heidelberg West or Heidelberg Heights. Precise address to be given upon booking.

What you will learn: Beginners – learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch. Kneading the dough with your hands and learn how to use a traditional pasta machine. We will experiment different kind of shapes from tagliatelle to ravioli, fettuccine and maltagliati. The fresh pasta will be cooked and served with a simple traditional Italian sauce which you will learn in 3 steps!

  • how to make fresh pasta from scratch using a pasta machine and/or with a rolling pin
  • How to make a simple and tasty tomato sauce in 3 steps!
  • A bit of history about Italian cuisine
  • gluten free and vegan options available, please let us know your dietary requirements upon registration.

Veronica Vitiello lives in Darebin. She is a passionate home cook from South Italy. Since she has moved to Australia, Veronica has been sharing her knowledge about the traditional cuisine of different regions of Italy. She loves to feed people with the recipes of her “nonna” as well as she loves experimenting new and alternative way to cook Italian style with local ingredients of different countries. Her friends often say about her: “she can take me to Italy just by being around her kitchen”.
