Mental Health First Aid
Presented by Lifeline, this two-day interactive course, participants will be exposed to a firm understanding and awareness of mental health issues. Skills and strategies will be learnt for understanding individual impact and responding to mental health issues.
Key Outcomes:
• Awareness of mental health issues; depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance use problems
• Awareness of possible associated mental health crises; thoughts of suicide,
panic attacks, severe psychotic states and medical emergencies
• Recognising symptoms
• Responding appropriately
• Identifying possible treatment organisations and referral options/pathways.
Please Note: Attendance is required at both sessions, for internal staff you need to send a request to your manager to book into this session.
