Event description

According to the International Labour Organization and the Walk Free Foundation, an estimated 40.3 million people are in modern slavery. In 2019, Australia's Modern Slavery Act came into play, requiring businesses and organisations above a certain size to report annually on the risks of modern slavery in their supply chains, and the action they have taken to assess and address those risks. Smaller businesses are also able to report voluntarily.

  • The relationship of modern slavery to violence against women
  • The Modern Slavery Act and its impacts and implications
  • Modern Slavery within Australia
  • Key Modern Slavey Indicators and Practical tools and tips for spotting and reporting

Post workshop we will have time for casual networking, individual questions with Anti-slavery Australia and the Outland Denim team, as well as the opportunity to shop with a 20% discount.

Light nibbles and refreshments will be served.
