Please join us for an evening to explore a positive vision for our future and a fact-based dreaming journey of what the world could be if we were to actively engage with the power of positive storytelling.
A night for all of the Montessori East community - parents and students - friends and grandparents - featuring a screening of the new must see documentary 2040.
We are thrilled to announce we'll be joined by Stephanie Evans - Northern Beaches high school student and passionate climate campaigner - who will give a short talk after the film followed by Q&A.
We know there is a shared care for our world within our community and look forward to having this group conversation about possibility and hope.
About the film:
2040 is an innovative feature documentary that looks to the future but is vitally important NOW.
Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on a personal journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.
Suitable for kids from Cycle 2 upwards (although of course at parents own discretion).
