Nia is a joyful movement practice suitable for anyBODY, at any fitness level. It’s easy and if you haven't been moving for some time, this is a great way to start off again. As well as being easy & fun, there are many many benefits to dancing for your body, mind, emotions & spirit.

SPECIAL FEATURED SESSION WITH ALIKI FROM THE PATH CLEARER

In this session we have a very special meditation planned which will follow straight after the Nia routine. You will be using your mind and body to create harmonious well-being.

*Registration 9.45am for 10am start. Event will finish 11.30am.

PREPARING FOR THE EVENT:

Feel free to wear comfortable clothing that makes you feel good and free to move & bring along a water bottle.

Nia is designed to be practised barefoot. If there are physical reasons not to practice barefoot, soft sole shoes can be worn.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS:

Nicole from Joyful Movement Nia has completed the White Belt & Blue Belt trainings of Nia.  Ongoing struggles with different body ailments led her to find Nia.  Discovering Nia completely changed her view of pain & what mindful movement could do to assist with physical healing as well as the emotional aspects of healing.  Through movement we can find peace with ourselves & our bodies and be more present. Aliki, also known as The Path Clearer, is a professional practitioner with a passion to get to the heart and core issue of what a person is dealing with and she encourages a collaborative approach for change.  Her experience in understanding the mind, body and spirit energies and how they impact an individual’s personality and well-being is successful in creating powerful shifts and healing in consciousness.  One of the tools she uses in her care with clients is the power of Meditation.
