The New Savages Live at Banyena Hall
Event description
The New Savages are an electric and original take on the first generation of recorded blues. Lead singer/guitarist Milan’s striking baritone vocals seem to evoke the spirit of the great poets Johnny Cash & The Doors’ Jim Morrison. His guitar playing is the sound of a simple, primitive and hypnotic boogie – one that sounds as though humans have been playing it since the dawn of time.
They call this style of music that they play Melbourne Hill Country Blues - as it's their distinctly Melbournian take on the droning, rhythmic and hypnotic sound of the Mississippi Hill Country that their music comes from.
Come and have a dance and a boogie to their hypnotic Melbourne Hill Country Blues sound on Friday the 8th of February at the Banyena Hall. BBQ at 6. Music at 8.
Tickets are $15 + BF online or $20 at the door. Children are free.
