Older Person Mental Health First Aid

This two day course will teach you how to assist an older person who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis using a practical, evidence-based action plan. 

• Mental Health problems covered in the course are:
  Depression
  Anxiety
  Confusion
  Dementia
  Psychosis

• Mental Health crises covered in in the course are: 
  Unsafe and challenging behaviours
  Delirium
  Suicidal thoughts and behaviours
  Panic Attack

The course fee covers a comprehensive Mental Health First Aid for the Older Person Handbook and all learning materials,morning and afternoon teas and lunch on both days.  You can become an accredited Mental Health First Aider with Mental Health First Aid Australia upon completion of this two-day course. Attendance is required for both days.
