Event description

This unconventional 5 day Course in painting and personal replenishment, could also be called Zen and the Art of Painting. Your teacher, Dr Suzanne Moss, Artist, Transformational Coach & Retreat Leader weaves expert tuition with gentle guidance to help you explore your unique creative expression through the alchemical possibilities offered by paint.

Morning sessions feature presentations, instruction and practice of methods with mindfulness and meditations that help you reconnect with who you are. Afternoons there is Q&A, a painting project and time for each person to have one-to-one tuition. Relax deeply as you soak up the creative vibe and feel the joy of creating your unique kind of beauty.

Dr Moss creates a respectful, safe environment where each person is encouraged on their own creative journey. Tune into and respond to your own true nature, part of the nature right outside our large Pop-up studio near the sparkling Tumut River shaded by grand old trees.

There is no need to know how to draw or paint for this course. If you can hold a brush you can do this. Our explorations require abstract methods which reduce striving and the attachment to outcome. There is no bar. The only requirements are that you attend each session on time and are willing to explore.

Day 1: Be welcomed to our venue Harvest Cafe at 4pm for afternoon tea. Meet and greet your colleagues and settle in for the preparation session to help make sure you get the most from our time together.

Day 2: We dive into the world of colour, from the basics to more advanced, so you develop confidence in your use of colour (as Katya demonstrates above)

Day 3: We focus on the nature of paint and how it can be used in different ways to help us express what we want to say

Day 3: We explore the power of shapes and play with strategies to create the kind of space and energy you want in your painting.

Day 4: An intensive day on composition - find out how to bring it all together  so you can best to communicate what you want to say

Day 5: Find out how to keep the light of encouragement going. We review  Suzanne's empowering Nurturing Creativity Method. We celebrate what you've made and share lunch before departing.

Complete the course knowing your Self better with your collection of paintings that will always remind you that creative expression helps keep body, mind and soul together.
