Recruitment and HR are tricky for small businesses. How to find and retain talented and loyal people when you don’t have enough time or resources to do a good job?
PEOPLE : SKILLS is a workshop that discusses how to attract, recruit and retain clever people, and how to understand the different requirements to find the best freelancers, employees and volunteers.
The workshops will cover:
- how to create a useful job description;
- how to interview for fit as well as skills;
- the best platforms for using freelancers ethically;
- the legal requirements for volunteers and interns;
- how to to be the best boss possible, to yourself and your team;
- where to go for more help and resources.

The workshop is relaxed and informal, you can ask all the questions you’ve never been able to ask before, and participants will also be given ample opportunity to network and get to know each other.

Who should enrol? This workshop is ideal for recent graduates, freelancers and creative professional who are seeking new and innovative ways to broaden their financial offerings and improve their business skills.
Who is Presenting? Business advisor and creative industries expert Monica Davidson from the Creative Plus Business Group. Monica is a writer and filmmaker by trade who learned how to run a successful creative business and now shares that knowledge with others. In her workshops Monica discusses her own experiences, and shares examples from the 600-plus people she has mentored through the process of starting and building their creative businesses.
