Day Two: Tuesday 16 June 2020

Suitable for HDR students who are interested in modelling quantitative data to draw inferences.


Students who complete this theme will be able to:
• Develop linear statistical models to analyse data
• Assess the fit of their model
• Diagnose and mitigate issues associated with model fit
• Develop logistic regression models for binary outcome variables
• Develop generalised estimating equation (GEE) or linear mixed models (LMM) to model longitudinal or clustered data

Students are advised to do the online LinkedIn learning course on SPSS or R (as appropriate) prior to coming to this short course. Students are assumed to be familiar with the material covered in Design and Analysis of Questionnaire Surveys or Design of Experiments prior to coming to this short course


Completion Certificate is awarded for students attending both days.

What if I can no longer attend, do I need to cancel?

Yes. Please contact the Researcher Development team at grs_rd@uts.edu.au for workshop cancellation.

If you fail to cancel your registration and are absent three or more times in a session, you will be suspended from the program for 1 year. You will be notified by email prior to your suspension being applied.

How will I know the location for this event if it is not confirmed yet?

You will be sent a reminder email approximately one week prior to the workshop. This will include the workshops location, date, time and anything you may need to know prior to the workshop.
