Event description

The planned forum will now go live and virtual via zoom.

Our purpose for the session stays the same: to provide an opportunity for international development researchers to exchange best practice, enablers and also what challenges us to do effective engagement as part of our research and ensure our research has impact for policy and practice.

The zoom session will first include a brief panel of researchers and Q&A (zoom chat space for moderated questions) to learn about research impact in practice. The program will include the value of partnership, cross cultural competency. Ethics of engagement for research impact will also be explored. The importance of the invisible work of researchers to build and maintain partnerships that enable use of our research will also be highlighted.

We will secondly break into small groups (Breakout Rooms on zoom) to explore enablers and barriers to researchers at UTS achieving effective engagement and impact. Each break out room will share back key highlights.

A market place will be opened for participants to share new resources, tools and frameworks to maximise research impact.

The forum is hosted by the UTS International Development Working Group, a university-wide group which seeks to promote and strengthen research for international development outcomes, with a particular focus on translating research to impact. Please join for a highly interactive and engaging zoom session!
