Event description

In keeping with the theme of this event - From Little Things Big Things Grow - this is your opportunity to learn from some locals who have been there, and done that.  From modest beginnings, but with big vision, they’ve ridden out the trials and tribulations of owning a business and have emerged as some of Brisbane’s entrepreneurial shining stars.

Scott Geiszler · Founder of Pizza Capers After identifying a gap in the competitive fast food market, Scott and his partner Anthony opened their first Pizza Capers store in Kenmore in 1996. Within a mere 9 years, they grew the brand to more than 100 stores nationally. In 2012 Scott successfully sold his thriving business to the Retail Food Group franchise family.

Tanya Winter · Founder of Studio Pilates From humble Brisbane beginnings, Tanya and her husband have grown Studio Pilates to span more countries than any other pilates franchise in the world. There are now 21 studios across Australia, New Zealand and China and a further 39 franchises signed and preparing to open including locations
in London, New York and Sydney. Studio Pilates is Australia’s largest provider of Pilates Instructor Certification courses and to date have trained over 4000 instructors.

Andrew McMaster · Founder and CEO of CV Services After an illustrious career in the corporate sector, Andrew, and a group of friends, bought a small signage business in Banyo, and turned an old-fashioned business into a modern commercial concern. This was the catalyst for a larger commercial play – the bringing together of 4 businesses in the electrical, facilities management and infrastructure services fields. Today they have a team of more than 600 people that service the entire east coast of Australia.

Steering the conversation, and asking the kinds of questions that will give a true insight into the journey our panellists have been on, will be Tim Davis, CEO of Howe Ford & Boxer. HFB have been helping Redlands-based businesses and families for 50 years and is THE destination in the Redlands for business advisory, tax and financial matters.
