Event description

His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche, the renowned Nepalese Buddhist teacher, will be visiting Australia for the first time and has offered to join us for a special Newday Leadership event.

With great compassion, infinite wisdom and a spontaneous, refreshing and humorous style of teaching, Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche will share with us how to:

  1. Create calm in busy and stressful times
  2. Seize the moment, to live with clarity, kindness and genuine understanding
  3. Understand our selves and lead authentically
  4. Positively transform our way of being in everyday life.

Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche was born in the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains where he was recognised as a holy child and began training as a Lama at the age of four. Rinpoche attended the Buddhist University in Sarnath, Varanas.

Throughout the world for over 25 years, Rinpoche has conducted countless retreats, seminars, and empowering sessions, including talks at Harvard, Yale, Wesleyan, and Naropa Universities, among many other venues.

In 2003, Rinpoche established Buddhafield as his centre of compassionate activity in the United States of America. Buddhafield is a pristine sanctuary of over 40 acres just 90 minutes north of New York City.

In Kathmandu, Rinpoche has also established the Shyalpa Monastery and Nunnery that houses over 200 monks and nuns. He is married and has three children.

This is a rare event not to be missed. Profits from the lab will support the Himalayan Children's Fund established by Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche to help alleviate the hardship of underprivileged children and give them the opportunity for a better life through education. Ticket booking fees are contributed via Humanitix as indicated.

Each ticket sale includes a copy of Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche's new book 'One Hundred Precious Gems'. Light refreshments will be provided.

Thank you to the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation for providing the beautiful venue space for this special event.

“To live fully, we need to cultivate great respect for everyone. Within the unconditional appreciation of our breath, we will find unconditional love for all beings.” Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche
