Ear to Ear and Best Effort join hands to bring you Sky Lounge - a small dance of unforgettable proportions. The event will be taking place in an unexplored leafy 2-tiered rooftop in the Inner West. The space is BYO and we think it’s perfect for having a good time. For the first in a series of open-air parties, there will be music for both heads and feet.
Whether you've caught her playing the crème de la crème of Australian festivals (Inner Varnika, Golden Plains, Echo Flats) or gracing the airwaves of Beats In Space and Red Light Radio, Toni Yotzi's insuppressible energy and enthusiasm make her sets just about the most fun you can have on a dance floor - or a rooftop! Yotzi's takin' it til close and it’s going to be a wild one!
Melbourne electronic composer Fia Fiell, aka Carolyn Schofield, soothed us in to the Saturday at this year’s Inner Varnika. Schofield combines her profound practical and theoretical chops as a pianist/composer with a most modern and perceptive ear for stretching out the orbit of millennial electronic music constructs. Fia Fiell will be providing live explorations in the early afternoon.
Cousin is the solo project of Moonshoe head, Jackson Fester. The dust has settled after Echo Flats, and Cousin's debut performance was the talk of the campsite. Cousin will channel his microscopic focus into trippy, dubwise excursions. Dense with deep subby basslines and shrouded in a smoked-out haze, this is the turn you'll want things to take after the sun has set.
Sydney producers Thomas Gray & Liam Ebbs are equally at ease in the living room and on the dance floor. Their genre hopping live set is underpinned by a focus on introversion and reflection.
Hani will be playing his wonderfully weird records and drinking Gin in the afternoon sun before Fia Fiell’s live performance. If you don’t dig his strange sounds, Hani also comes to party armed with a fluent Shakespearean tongue and jokes about obscure jazz musicians.
