Soirée For A Cure
Event description
Our Soirée For A Cure committee is a group of passionate Tour de Cure ambassadors. Between us we have been part of the epic Tour de Cure charity rides and fundraisers for over 25 years and have collectively raised more than
$500,000 for cancer research. Two of us have been the recipients of the coveted Tour de Cure Board Award, the highest recognition for service to the charity. We aim to raise $100,000 to meet our fundraising targets for this year
as we prepare for the annual Tour de Cure Signature Tour charity ride in March 2020, riding 1,400km in 9 days from Newcastle to Noosa.
All members of our committee have in some way been touched by cancer. Some have had personal battles while others have close friends or family members that are either fighting or lost their battle with cancer.
Soirée For A Cure is our fundraising event that proudly supports Tour de Cure Australia. Tour de Cure started as a cycling based charity in 2007 to raise money to help find a cure for not just a specific cancer, but for all. Since
inception Tour de Cure has raised over $50M which has helped fund projects with the highest likelihood of achieving a cancer breakthrough, regardless of type. (www.tourdecure.com.au).
