Song Writing for the Faint Hearted

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Feel you have a song inside you but you're too shy to get it out? Want to access your musical creativity or get over your songwriter's block? Or just want to come along and let music therapist Ann give you some tips on jamming out a tune? This song creation session is aimed at both musicians and those with zero prior experience.

This fun and laid-back 3 hour workshop will cover improvising melodies and lyrics over a bass line/ chord progression using a technique of “flow song creation”. Participants will be invited to record their song creations on their phone using a voice memo app. This process builds trust in our capacity for self expression, allowing space for insight, emotional release and also, so importantly, joy and silliness! Wallflowers welcome!

If you play an instrument, feel free to bring it along.

The facilitator: Ann Lehmann-Kuit is a registered music therapist with over twenty years' experience supporting people to build expressive confidence.
