A natural lover of adventure. A true believer in love. Warmth. Ambition. Dancing, shopping, fashion – her beloved Western Bulldogs. Effortless style. Uncontrollable laughter. Basking in the sun. Diving into the water.
Her driven, determined nature had her excelling in a public relations degree where her infectious energy would draw friends easily. Laura’s beauty and brilliance is indelible in the hearts of everyone she touched; her family and friends were the centre of her life – and her to theirs.
The love that Laura shared has only grown in the ten years since her passing, and the Spread the Laura Love Charity Gala aims to do just that: spread that love in raising funds to help prevent suicide, and promote mental health awareness through R U OK?
Knowing Laura’s selfless nature, Laura's brother Marcus feels she always wanted to give something back to others and that fundraising for such an important cause, and helping break the taboos around mental illness would have been something Laura wanted to happen.
Myer's luxury Mural Hall venue will host the Spread the Laura Love Charity Gala where guests will enjoy a delicious three-course dinner including beer, wine and soft drink in a sparkling setting.
Hosting the night will be stand-up comedian, actor, television and radio presenter, Dave O'Neil as MC and we'll hear from special guest speaker, Founder of Love Me Love You Foundation and former AFL footballer, Lance Picioane. The Baker Boys 8 piece band, DJ Perri Lee and Ashley James on the Sax will entertain throughout the night, as well as a live charity auction, raffle draw prizes and silent auction, providing guests with the opportunity to bid on a range of generously donated items and raise much-needed funds to help prevent suicide.
