Event description

Stellar is a carefully curated fusion of film, food and beverages, art and entertainment, set in the stunning grounds of McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery.

Returning for its third year, the Stellar Short Film Festival will showcase the very best of Australian short films from the 2019 circuit, shortlisted from the winners of over 75 film festivals around the country. Entries are by invitation only, with an anticipated 100 films starting on the shortlist, and the final ‘Stellar 12’ being announced in January 2020. The selected films will compete on the night for significant prizes, with winners selected by a panel of industry judges, as well as an audience choice award.

VIPs will indulge in an indoor cocktail-style dinner party complete with drinks before the film screenings, expertly catered for by the McClelland Cafe team. They will also receive a VIP swag bag containing a range of local products and treats, have access to the indoor gallery, a VIP bar, special entertainment, reserved seating, and an invitation to the Stellar after party.

General Admission guests will receive entry to the Sculpture Park where they can wander through the bushland and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor art, tunes from a live DJ and the chance to relax on the lawns, before settling in for the film festival with a gourmet Buddha Bowl all included in the ticket price. Alcohol, coffee and other sweet delights will be available to purchase from local stallholders on the night.

McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery is Australia’s leading sculpture park – a picturesque and tranquil 16 hectares of lush green lawn and landscaped bushland, with pathways linking over 100 iconic and diverse sculptures of national and international significance.

This hidden gem in Langwarrin is situated at the gateway to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, only 45 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD.

It’s a destination and a venue all rolled into one that will get people talking all over the nation.
