WE HAVE ANOTHER EVENT ON THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO YOU: DESIGNING WITH COMMUNITY ON MARCH 5th

_________________________________________________

In this workshop we will look at two complementary participatory practices, Asset Based Community Development and Co-design.

Often, we tend to base ideas for improvement on what is not working, but an Asset-Based approach allows us to identify individual, community, organisational and stakeholder strengths and assets so that we can create strong, sustainable communities by building on what works already. Co-design as a human-centred approach, helps us to understand people’s life context, and with its focus on prototyping can help us collectively come up with solutions that work for everyone involved. These practices support people to participate in the design process, so that solutions create value for most, even those hard to hear voices.

You will hear about some case-studies about how these practices have been applied in community projects, as well as learn a few tools you can use for gaining a better understanding of existing community strengths and opportunities for change.

DISCLAIMER This event will only go ahead if we have enough ticket sales to make it financially feasible so please share with your colleagues : )
