It is suitable for both seasoned artists and beginners.

Week 5

Flow with Colour

Working the figure into the colourful world of the spectrum.

Our session begins with creating some grounds by splashing, dripping, splattering and flowing. Layering the figure into these colour bursts in the 2nd half of our session.

THE ART OF FLOW - a 6-week series
An exploration of the human figure through drawing, painting & mixed media.

For the past 15 years, Gabbi has been working with humans (both children & adults!) to help them awaken to their own creativity and artistic freedom.

"Whilst studying Art & Anatomy at Art School in the 80's, I realised we were learning much more than drawing and painting. It was an awakening and deepening of perception and sensitivity; a way of being.

Since then, and throughout my practice, I have experienced moments, of being in an altered state, meditative, it was spiritual and I loved that mysterious feeling.

I love to create a nurturing environment that will support each participant and their unique process."

Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced artist, this unique course is designed to develop your perception and visual skill.

The energy and spirit of the human form is fundamental, it is the thread that runs throughout this course.

Drawing a live model is the most direct way I know to learn how to access your innate visual skills, which can then be applied to drawing or painting, or any visual medium.

You won't just be learning 'how to' but will be tapping into your unique creativity to respond personally and with meaning to our models.
Using music and dynamic drawing exercises it is possible to make an instant connection, bypassing your analytical brain and moving into creative flow.

These moments of 'flow' or being 'in the zone' is where the magic happens and drawings emerge without effort. Being in these states enhances a sense of wellbeing and joy that filters into your daily life.
