The Grounds of Alexandria is known for its beautiful garden and fresh produce cared for by our in-house Horticulturalists.

Join us for our Terrarium workshop, designed to share our expertise with children in a fun and engaging way. During this workshop, children will be taken through an introduction on horticulture and will get their hands dirty planting a selection of succulents and small figurines.

We encourage recyling and urge parents to bring their own glass jar for their little one to create their terrarium in (roughly 10cm). If you'd like to purchase one on the day, jars will be available for $7.0 each.

In this experience, you and your little ones will learn:

Where fresh produce comes from and seasonal produce
How to prepare and plant their own Terrarium to take home

We will happily provide:

Gloves
Soil, sand, rocks
Succulents
Fertiliser
Knowledge and good times!

Please note:

Classes run for approximately 1 hour.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class and check in with us under the Arbour, near the fountain.
Classes will be held under The Arbour (near our fountain, in The Garden), it is covered from possible rain. If the location changes, you will be notified by email the day prior to the event.
This is not a drop-off service. This event is for parents and their children!
