After a decade of trial and triumph, the journey of becoming the heroine of her own story is how she alchemised her life's work in helping women/womxn how to grieve the loss of what once served them while dancing into a life alongside the most expressed version of themselves.

ERIKA CRAMER

After overcoming a life full of trauma, physical and sexual abuse, near-death experiences, breaking her back and being widowed, Erika found herself drowning in pain and sadness trying to numb everything she had been through. These life changing experiences finally lead her to life coaching where she went on a deep path to personal growth and healing. Now wife, mother of 2 and Confidence coach, Erika founded The Queen of Confidence. Erika is taking a bold stand for women to reclaim their self confidence. Saara Sabbagh - As a Muslim community leader and educator Saara is critically engaging her community on what it means to be an Australian Muslim in today’s world. A visionary voice within the Muslim community, Saara is a dynamic public speaker and a much sought-after consultant on Muslim community affairs. She is the founding Director of Benevolence Australia – an organisation formed to meet the growing needs of Australian Muslims within the Melbourne community. Saara was awarded the Australian Muslim Achievement Award (AMAA)’s Role Model of the Year 2013.

Sally Goldner AM - Sally has been involved in Victoria’s queer communities for over twenty years. This includes Transgender Victoria, co-facilitator of Transfamily, presenter of 3 CR’s “Out of the Pan” and Treasurer of Bisexual Alliance Victoria. She is the focus of an autobiographical documentary “Sally’s Story” and a life member of 4 queer organisations. She was awarded an Order of Australia in 2019, inducted into the Victorian Women’s Honour Roll in 2016, awarded LGBTI Victorian of the Year in 2015 and was noted in The Age’s Top 100 most creative and influential people in Melbourne in 2011. She is an educator, speaker, MC and occasional performer (all in contrast to her original accountancy training) …with more to come!

It is an event with heart opening conversations and friendships forged through listening and sharing. You never know, you might just meet your new BFF.

The founders of Australian Women's Day have combined their expertise to create this for the women who are to rise up and LEAD.

Nicole Rowan is a serial entrepreneur and the creator of two multi-million dollar businesses. She has always had an eye for the bigger vision. Now her greatest vision is coming to life in the creation of Australian Women’s Day. She desires to bring women home to the Village from a place of service and love, as she knows in her heart that when one woman rises, we all rise.

Sarah Fiess believes that through research and data we can create massive social change for a more sustainable way of being on this earth. Completing her Doctorate, Sarah grounds herself in researching women’s roles in digital influence and social transformation.

What time is registration?

Registrations open from 8.00am, and the day starts with a Welcome to Country and a smoking ceremony at 9:00am. Make sure you arrive early to secure a great seat and your morning hit of caffeine.

What is AWD’s definition of “Women”?

We are holding the vision of a world where we are all included, respected and honoured. That includes ALL women, womxn and those identifying as women (including our non binary sisters).

Women aged from 16 and above are welcome at the event.

Are children and babies welcome at the event?

Babes in arms (0 - 6 months) are welcome. In 2018 one of our co-founders bought her 6 week old baby! One Roof has quieter meeting rooms available for breastfeeding. As this event will be focused on intense conversation, discussion and action-taking older children are not able to attend to the event.

Are men welcome at the event?

You betcha! We love it when our men attend to be inspired, learn and support the women of our country.

What should I bring to the event?

Lunch is not provided. See above. Take Pen & notepad, laptop and business cards

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No need to print out. Let's save our trees! Just show us your ticket on your phone.

Where can I Park my car?

One Roof is situated at Southbank so there are heaps of car parks both metered and underground surrounding the venue.

Is public transport available?

Roof is an easy 7 minute walk from Flinders St station and there is ample parking available at Southbank.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, however, name changes are permitted. Please email gidday@australianwomensday.com to organise alterations to the ticket holders name.
