Tree Psyde 2019 - Creating Habitats.
The herd has migrated north and now its time to create our new habitat. Join us for this fun-filled weekend of friends, food and frolicking in the fields. Over the past 6 years, the Tranquil Platypus, Deep Creek and Tree Psyde gatherings have collectively planted over 30,000 trees. However, this event has now evolved into more... it is now a bush re-gen & re-veg gathering. With its sights on growing towards a sustainable community/lifestyle. Education, community support and teamwork are key elements in the backbone of this event. There will be workshops and speakers on sustainable living/sustainable farming/composting/survival/dance & play. There will be hands-on lessons on land management and weed control. There will definitely be tree planting and there will definitely be a talented collection of musicians and producers to help us celebrate after all the hard work is done.

This will be a musical journey through a range of different sub-genres of psy... From Psybient, psy chill and downtempo, to dark progressive, full on and a touch of forrest... and all of it will be Tranquil. Meaning it will be free from anxiety and stress, healing to the ears ~ High-quality WAV music through a beautifully tuned sound system, and featuring an all Australian producer line up.

So, come and experience the wonders of our new home in the tropical lower Whitsundays region with a great crew and solid weekend of partying with a purpose! Help us to create a new habitat, not only for all of us to enjoy but also for the native wildlife to live in whilst we are away.

Friday night at the movies, who cares what picture we see...
Friday, April 19th instead of music, we are setting up a gold class twilight cinema. After setting up your camp, settle in and kick back on the beanbags and relax into the night whilst we provide you with a few movies. Starting off with a kid’s movie, then moving on to another 2 or 3 screenings.
We do this as the planting volunteers need to be up early and ready for a full day of good old fashioned work!!! Tree planting and regen isn't an easy task.. but to make the job seem sweeter, it is situated on a beautiful tropical beach overlooking the Great Keppel Islands!!!

This year’s event will be capped at 400 attendees plus staff... but not everyone is able to get their hands dirty.. our planting project is limited to 80 people. We expect quite a few people will be keen however it will be first in first served. For those of you who don't make the excursion, there are smaller permaculture based projects to participate in on-site.
